The Perth & Kinross Red Squirrel Group is made up of volunteers whose aim is to
conserve the red squirrel population throughout the area's forests and
woodlands. Its work involves raising public awareness of conservation issues,
monitoring building development and tree felling operations that may affect red
squirrel habitat and campaigning where appropriate. It also provides advice
about red squirrel feeding and how to obtain or make red-only feeders. It
supports the Scottish Squirrel Survey by advising potential surveyors how to
participate and help prioritise conservation efforts.
